Prescription Drug Rehab Success Story
After completing all the books here at Narconon Arrowhead's Drug Rehab, I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that I have everything I need to make it in life without drugs. Rehab Treatment
Loved ones often wonder what exactly
rehab treatment is. At Narconon Arrowhead the basics of
treatment at least can be fairly well understood.
There is a drug free withdrawal process where use of all drugs and alcohol finally comes to an end.
This is followed by a full
detoxification process which actually removes drugs and toxins that have been stored in the fat tissues of the body, often times for years.
This results in a marked overall sense of well being for the individual with many reporting drug or alcohol cravings ending during this time. Our
rehab treatment also includes a full and comprehensive handling of any further emotional cravings as well as addressing guilt and depression which left unhandled are the major reasons for relapse or continued drug use.

Heroin is a highly addictive illegal drug. During the 1800’s opium
addiction was a major problem in the U.S.
Morphine was developed as supposedly a non-addictive substitute for opium but proved to be even more addictive.
The same is true of Heroin which was a supposedly non addictive replacement for morphine, but again is actually more addictive than opium or morphine.
In more modern times we know have methadone as a supposed ‘solution’ to heroin addiction.
Methadone is even more addictive than heroin. If withdrawal from heroin can be gruesome and harrowing, then methadone is even worse and can be life- threatening if unsupervised.

Experiments continued along these lines until LSD was banned in 1967.

12 step program has been around in various forms since the 1920’s.
It basically involves 12 different steps done by the addict or
alcoholic in an attempt to gain control over the
addiction or alcoholism.
There are thousands of local meetings throughout the world whose membership uses the 12 steps as their basic approach.
Many of the short term
drug rehabs also use the 12 step approach to solving
addiction or alcoholism.
There is absolutely no doubt that this approach works for some and works well. However, overall success rates tend to be dismally low. For instance AA reports a meager 5-7% retention rate for those attending these meetings. All is not hopeless for you or a loved one who has found a
